WhatsApp is all set to make money through it’s business tools.

WhatsApp is huge in terms of it’s service and popularity.Over a billion people are now using whatsapp worldwide for getting connected with  friends and family.

Before Facebook bought this beauty,it actually had a business setup. That is asking you to subscribe for a period like 1 – 5 years.

But after acquisition, the social media giant turned everything down and set the app free to use.

And now it is actually testing a model which would generate revenue for the company.

How is WhatsApp going to make money??

It is about to offer a service where a business or a company can consult it’s clients using the app.For example an airline company can be able to message you that a flight has been delayed.People can share documents securely and can be in a stage where they can perform a deal with a company.

Safety and security are the main concerns here. So,whatsapp is already setting things up to find if any security issues by making trials with some startup companies. For this they made a deal with Y combinator which is a startup accelerator company established in the year 2005.

Y combinator for whatsapp

Y combinator offered some startup companies to checkout services of whatsapp.

In this process whatsapp charges companies for using the services of it.Though it seems easy to make a deal there could also arise a problem of spam.People hates spam so whatsapp is making a go at eliminating spam related to this service.

“The trial is still in the early stages” said co-founder of Cowlar, one of the startups involved. The system is highly anticipated in remote places where whatsapp is especially popular.

Cowlar makes collars for dairy cows, collecting data on their activity and recommending changes to improve milk yield. The company is testing the collars in the United States. It wants to use the app to send automatic alerts from the collars directly to farmers.say if a cow is not behaving normally.

This if rolled out would make life of people much more easier.
